COBOL Replacement

Many organizations rely on legacy COBOL systems. Over the years, these systems evolved with little structure – and often, no documentation. To help our clients replace mission-critical systems with modern ones, we use a variety of automated tools to untangle webs of applications. We do so to identify application-database dependencies, map program flows, and isolate business logic. Our analysis identifies the first cluster of applications for replacement or upgrade. To minimize the risk when deploying a replacement system, Computech runs the new system in parallel with the legacy one under actual production loads until verifying the accuracy of the operating system.
