Achieving results in an environment of reduced budgets is a challenge; effective Project Management is needed for success.  Scope, schedule, budget, staffing plans and risks need constant attention.  Project Managers must provide regular updates on project status, and stakeholders need to be engaged by regular and consistent reporting.

Project Managers must provide visibility into their projects to ensure that all stakeholders can understand the key milestones and their associated risks and issues.  This transparency serves to engage stakeholders and to leverage their support to keep projects on track.

Producing iterative and regular deliverables forces projects to show results and is a vastly better approach than the traditional waterfall methodology of delivering the solution all at once.  Iterative development further provides a cadence to the development team and lets them build confidence as modules are completed and milestones are achieved.

Successful Project Management involves delivering the expected results, on-time and on-budget.  We base our Project Management policies and procedures on industry best practices, including the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Carnegie Mellon’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).  Computech also utilizes Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and financial calculations to provide accurate insight into monthly expenditures.
